Message from Threshold Chairperson, Aideen Hayden

General News

Threshold is grateful to all of its donors and supporters. Public donations are invested into providing frontline services to people experiencing housing problems and those at risk of homelessness. In addition, we work to influence government policy so that tenants can be protected.

Threshold is a lean organisation, with high levels of transparency and accountability.  Out of our annual income, our non-service related spending is 11 per cent. This includes items such as CEO and Financial Controller salaries; and governance costs including auditing fees, legal fees, board and associated meeting costs; annual report publication and administration.

Threshold produces and publishes detailed annual accounts each year.  In our 2012 audited accounts, we received an income of €1.1 million in statutory grants, while €393,000 was raised through donations from the public.

Since 2008, Threshold has frozen salaries. A small inflationary increase of 1.7% was awarded in 2013. Threshold employs 34 full-time staff, and 17 workers under the FAS Community Employment scheme.

Last year, over 20,000 people sought help from Threshold.
